We recorded and filmed "Restored" yesterday. And I can't really describe how awesome it was.
A dozen singers - ages 12 to 55 - singing about their faith in Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. Each one testifying, in their own style, what they know to be true.
I called on singers of different ages, nationalities and walks of life. I told them to bring their own flare to the song. And they did.
It was incredible. THEY were incredible.
We started with a child and added voices until we had a large group of singers. And as their voices filled up the room, I felt a powerful witness - that this message is true. That the gospel of Jesus Christ has actually been restored to the earth. Not something that looks like His gospel - but His ACTUAL gospel. The one He taught in Galilee. His Church. His truth. His power. It's all here in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
And one of the main messages of the song is anyone can find out for themselves if it's true. All they have to do is ask of God.
Just FYI: I wanted this to be more than just a children's song. Children can definitely sing it. But so could a youth group or an adult choir. Or a soloist of any age.
I am over the moon about how this turned out. And I can't wait for you to hear it and see it! We had three videographers on the set, who filmed from 8:00 to 3:00. So that means we only have about 20 hours of video to go through. Yikes! But we still hope to get this edited and out there by the end of this week. At least we're going to try. :)
