Lyrics
Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden.
The very first man and woman on earth for a reason.
For God knew that He could trust them to be good parents of His family,
But first they were young, enjoying the sun in the garden. Oh Adam and Eve.
Adam and Eve first lived a life that was breezy.
The flowers just grew. The animals, too. It was easy.
They ate lots of fruit from every tree except one which God said they could not,
And if they obeyed, then they’d get to stay in the garden. Oh Adam and Eve.
Satan came and tempted Eve to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree,
And like he always does, he lied and Eve took a bit.
Then Adam also ate the fruit. They’d have to give up the home they knew.
Distanced from the God of all and this is why it’s called the fall.
Oh, Adam and Eve courageously built a new life there.
They weeded and worked and faced all their trials together.
Each day they progressed, and soon they were blessed with a family, and now we see
That this was God’s plan and we should be glad for the garden, and Adam and Eve.
