More Than Enough
Mothers do so much. They work so hard. But most of us, despite how much we do, have a feeling that we’re not doing enough. We just want to know we’re loved. My mother was the most angelic person I’ve ever known. After she passed away, I read her personal journals and was surprised to learn how often even she wondered if she was doing enough. This knowledge inspired me to write this song. I hope this song will help every mother who hears it know how much they’re loved and appreciated.

Lyrics
Maybe I’ll never know
The love it takes
To make me a happy home
That’s warm and safe.
And maybe I’ll never see how you pray
For my every need and wonder
What more you could do for me.
But when you walk by my side,
Read me stories at night
And teach me to trust in God’s love.
You give me a hug,
Maybe two
And you say “I love you,”
Then I think you’re doing enough.
Maybe you’ll wonder
If you’re teaching me
Every good thing
That I can someday be.
But all that I know
Of faith and kindness and
Love and strength,
I’ve learned just by watching you
Every day.
So when you stay by my side,
Hear my stories at night
And teach me to trust in God’s love.
You give me a hug,
Maybe two
And you say “I love you,”
Then I think you’re doing enough.
Some day I’ll have a home,
A family,
And I’ll love them just as much
As you love me.
Then maybe you’ll finally see
You have given enough for me,
A gift that will last through eternity.
And I’m blessed every step by your love.

Your songs are mine and my kids' favorites! We play them in the car & on the piano and get so excited when a new one comes out. My 3 year old son with Autism belts out entire verses (with actions) of the song "I will shine" and it's about the sweetest thing I've ever seen. The song the Miracle is my 6-year-old's favorite and the song that introduced us to your music!
