Oh Noah!
I feel it’s important for children to learn that Noah’s story isn’t only about animals. It’s a story about faithfulness and how God blesses us when we obey. The opening verses tell Noah’s story. And in the final verse, the lyrics describe how finding peace and blessing in our day works the same way it did for Noah–through obedience to God’s commandments.

Lyrics
Oh Noah was a righteous man
Who lived in a wicked world.
He boldly cried repentance
But it seemed that nobody heard.
When we built an ark,
They mocked him,
But the flood would come, he knew.
So he boarded all his family
And the animals two by two.
Oh Noah, Noah
Was faithful all his days.
Oh Noah showed us
We’re blessed when we obey.
We’re blessed when we obey.
For forty days the rain came down
And lifted the ark up high.
And Noah’s family knew
The Lord had kept them safe and dry.
When the sun came out one morning
And the land was in their view,
They saw the rainbow God had sent,
And they started their life anew.
When we are faced with cloudy skies
And rain begins to fall,
Oh we’ll stay close to God on high
Who watches over us all.
And if we are mocked
For keeping His commandments
We will know the peace for those who do His will,
Just like Noah did long ago.
