Strong
I wrote this song for a special young woman, Sarah Fry. As an 18-year-old, she was hit by a drunk driver and lost both of her legs. Sarah is an incredible inspiration to me and many others. Her faith in Jesus gives her remarkable strength to carry on despite her struggles. The miracle of her life comes from her faith in Jesus. I hope this song can help you find strength in Jesus no matter how difficult the challenges in your life become.

Lyrics
Sometimes dreams are stolen
It only takes a moment.
And what was whole is broken so fast.
The life I took for granted
And the plans I made were shattered
Like just a million pieces of the past.
But in the wreckage, I knew there were angels
Through the struggle, there was strength to carry on
Though you didn’t move the mountains, Lord, or part these waves of pain
I can see You’ve been here all along.
There is a miracle
In every breath I take
And I am living proof
Of Your amazing grace
The darkest nights I know
Will always end with dawn
And You’ll be here to make me strong.
Some day I will hear You gently call my name
And I will rise unbroken, unafraid.
There will be no heartache and there will be no pain.
But until then, I will live by faith.
No one was broken more than you.
No one can love me like you do.
So when I cry I know you’re weeping too.
Though you didn’t move the mountains, Lord,
Or part these waves of pain,
All I need is You to help me stay
Strong enough to not give up today.

This is my new favorite song!!! I was born with multiple genetic conditions, one of which has caused weak communication between my brain and muscles leading to low muscle tone and weakness throughout my body, and the use of a wheelchair. I also use a feeding tube and catheters due to digestive tract and bladder paralysis. These lyrics resonate with me so much. Sara radiates so much joy and reminds me of the type of Christlike woman I hope to be someday. Thank you for sharing her story and sharing this beautiful song with us!
